| The only railroad in Michigan to be completely isolated from any other rail line operates a few short miles in the eastern Upper Peninsula from the Docks east of Cedarville also known as Port Dolomite to the Limestone plant just north of town. Once called the Michigan Limestone Co. is now part of Carmuse and supplies lime all across the greater Great Lakes via ships. The railroad has just a couple engines two SW10's and possibly still a old Baldwin. This line is one of the most undershot railroads in Michigan and their operation's vary with the boats. |
