Two minutes into its inaugural public run since restoration, 4-8-4+4-8-4 Beyer-Garratt locomotive 6029 races out of a foggy Goulburn with passengers from Goulburn and Canberra bound for the Festival of Steam at TrainWorks, Thirlmere, NSW, Australia.
As the years go by, more and more steam engines are being restored and operating therefore the old expression "steam is dead" is nothing but a false expression. Steam is strong and still ruling the rails.
