Remarks & Notes |
UP's Plummer Turn skirts the northern edge of the Palouse farmlands near Freeman on its journey back to Spokane. The train is composed of 23 loads from the St. Maries River Railroad and 2 loads from the mill in Plummer. Superelevated curves are the only sign that this was once the Milwaukee Road's secondary main line, and one can only imagine the sight of the Olympian Hiawatha speeding through these same curves. |
