Remarks & Notes

A GP38 and three C30-7's lead Conrail freight ALCG (Allentown - Corning) westbound through the Lehigh Narrows. Viewed from the Flagstaff Mountain overlook, the train is on the Lehigh Valley side of the river, while the covered hoppers are on the former Jersey Central. The two lines meet just out of sight to the upper right at Packerton Junction. Who says all of the big scenery is out west?
