During one of the nicest Saturday afternoons in all of 2015 so far, Pan Am's NMWA was continuing westbound past MP 73 on February 7, 2015. In what has become rather unusual in the era of "blue dips", three GP40-2 G's led their train toward Route 2 in Carmel, Maine. Their eventual destination was Waterville, nearly 40 miles ahead.
