A KCS freight bound for Mexico departs the crew change at Speer, passing one of the many new CTC installations along this former TexMex line. Due to expanding traffic, KCS is adding CTC, a good sign of a growing business, but I know I will miss the track warrants and radio-controlled switches which gave this line a bit of rural Texas charm.
