| The West Portal of Tunnel 18 - Looking east through Tunnel 18.
The wooden trestle at Goat Canyon is nearly a mile behind us and the former station at Dos Cabezas lies 6 track miles ahead.
In another 2.5 miles, we will leave the gorge at Tunnel 21 and turn south towards the border with Mexico. This railroad was embargoed in 2008 and there have been no trains running on this track since that time. |
