Remarks & Notes
The Cane Run empties drop off Rosine Hill at Jerusalem Ridge, homeplace of Bluegrass legend Bill Monroe. The end is near for this train, with LG&E Cane Run converting to Natural Gas in the near future. As a locomotive engineer, I learned a lot about train handling from this short, heavy, cantankerous little coal-drag and I've sort of developed a love/hate relationship for it over the years. When you get down to it, I'll be sad to see it go.
