Remarks & Notes
At Castilla, Utah, Utah Railway train HUTAHJ-14 crosses from one mainline to the other as it ascends Soldier Summit. This track is no longer Rio Grande's, and hasn't been since Rio Grande's merger with Southern Pacific in 1988. When the Union Pacific acquired the SP in 1996, this line became the UP's Provo Subdivision. This train, pulled by MK50-3 5003, SD50Ss 6060 and 6064 and two more MK50-3s (5006 and 5005) and consisting of a buffer car and 22 tank cars, is headed for Utah's Martin Yard in Helper, Utah, on March 14th, 2015.
