Remarks & Notes |
On a blustery warm Saturday afternoon, fans on Ben's Bridge over Selkirk Yard were treated to a wide variety of visiting foreign power including a first time visit of NS heritage unit Central of Georgia 8101. The NS 'COG' came north earlier in the morning from New Jersey off a K649 and is seen passing the busy fuel plant on the way to the west pig tail to reach the east runner. The power set will be assigned to a Q433 River Sub freight to reach the NS at Oak Island. Unfortunately, the freight would not depart the yard till after dusk with the NS 8101 leading southbound. This was my one and only chance to get a decent shot of the unit as it shuffled under the bridge with a brief splash of lucky sun beneath the numberous large clouds.
