| An intercity high speed train departs Guangzhou East station for Shenzhen while passing a DF5D diesel assigned to switching duty at the terminal. The 139km trip takes approximately 80 minutes. Service between Guangzhou East and Shenzhen is very frequent during peak hours, with trains often running less than 10 minutes apart. At this particular location trains are just beginning to accelerate after clearing the terminal area, and this train will shortly reach 200kph. |
