Remarks & Notes |
The Wye at Cadiz - An eastbound mix of power rockets through the interchange yard at Cadiz California.
The two tracks on the left are the Cadiz Subdivision of the Arizona and California Railroad at MP 190.4.
The ARZC once went all the way to Blythe on the Colorado River ending at Ripley (the Blythe Subdivision ) some 50 miles south through the empty desert, however currently the track is only in service as far as Rice at MP 140.4
where the line swings east to Parker AZ.
From Parker, the Cadiz Subdivision of the Arizona and California connects with the BNSF Peavine route at Matthie AZ where the ARZC has trackage rights to Phoenix.
The Peavine is the old Sante Fe route from Ash Fork to Phoenix AZ. The trailing units are: NS 8081 GE ES44AC & UP 4736 EMD SD70M. |
