Remarks & Notes |
The Cincinnati Dinner Train is seen passing under the former N&W trestle in Fairfax. This location is known by the railroad as CP Valley. The lower track leading off to the left runs towards Clare Yard in Marimont as well as Norfolk Southern’s former Cincinnati District to Portsmouth, Ohio. The line is only open to Winchester and is now operated by the Cincinnati East Terminal Railway (CCET). The Dinner train is shoving onto Indiana & Ohio’s Oasis Secondary which is also now a stub in track. It ends near the Montgomery Inn Boathouse just east of downtown Cincinnati. The trestle has not seen any traffic since the only customer in Norwood closed in August of 2009. A group is working to purchase the line from Norfolk Southern and turn it into a bike trail. Shot from a DJI Phantom 2 Vision + drone. The Cincinnati Dinner train operates nearly every Saturday evening from mid March through December.
