| 3 of 4 operating locomotives at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum are visible here. Left to right is ICG GP8 7738, nearing the end of her cosmetic restoration that has been occurring over the past 2 years. N&W GP9 675 occupies the middle, and Kentucky Utilities 001 a GE 45 tonner centercab sits on the right. The boxcars behind her were recently pulled from storage to be given attention to make them ready for some photo freights coming up this year at the museum. If you'd be interested in freight runs with 7738 and 675 keep tabs on the museum webpage at www.BluegrassRailroad.com and watch for sales to open. Sept. 19 is the likely date an open public event will take place. |
