Remarks & Notes |
A colorful consist that includes a CSX SD40-3, BNSF "H2" C44-9W and a BNSF "warbonnet" C44-9W rolls across Overpeck Creek on a crystal clear spring morning with a loaded crude oil train in tow. Railfans familiar with this area will note the demolition of the old restaurant which was located at the extreme right edge of this photo. Known to many as "Frickie's" (a name it has not actually carried in years), it is finally being torn down after passing through a series of owners and finally sitting disused for many years. The rear wall collapsed at the hands of a demolition crew while I was waiting for this train to arrive. |
