Remarks & Notes |
BNSF 4626 was heading a Seattle-Chicago stack train out of Appleyard about 530 AM May 13 when an apparent broken rail caused the second 5 platform stack set to derail and roll over. This view shows the head end stopped with the first 5 platform set tilting. A third set had its first platform jack knife. The derailment caused a total of 12 platforms to derail, with the rear three of the third set staying on the track. As of 9 AM May 14 trains are moving and the balance of the stack train has gone east. Hulcher and Columbia Crane are helping BNSF clean up the mess. |
