A westbound Utah Railway coal train crests 7440 ft. Soldier Summit on Dec. 26, 1991. The quartet of SD40s and 84 loads of Wildcat coal will descend 3000 feet in elevation in 50 miles of track to the Union Pacific interchange at Provo Yard.
