Montana Rail Link’s Paradise local crosses the Clark Fork at Paradise, Montana, on September 22, 2006. The local is led by former SD9 No. 651, former EJ&E No. 601, and totally rebuilt by MRL at its Livingston Shops into a SD19-1 in 1991. After idle time in Paradise, the locomotives smoke it up leaving town, with the exhaust almost mimicking the low clouds hanging over the valley.
