Passing through Blue Cut, in the lower reaches of Cajon Pass, is Burlington Northern Santa Fe train S-LBACHI1-03 (Intermodal Stacks; Long Beach [Pier A] CA to Chicago IL). A trio of Dash 9-44CWs is on the head-end, and the lead unit, 748, has a pair of doors off another engine that, because of the mismatched paint, really stand out. (September 4, 2004)
