CHINA BLUE....two of Transnet Freight Rail's Chinese class 20E dual voltage 3kV DC / 25kV AC electric locomotives (Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., a subsidiary of the China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corporation), have been painted in Blue Train livery for exclusive duty on this luxury train. On their maiden northbound run from Cape Town to Pretoria, the pair are seen passing the Senwes Grainlink silos at Regina, alongside the R502 between Leeudoringstad and Orkney, on their way to a crew change stop at Klerksdorp. The locomotives were assembled at Transnet Engineering's Koedoespoort works in Pretoria.
