After dropping off loaded cars for Rochelle's Americold - Cold Storage facility and picking up empty ones, Union Pacific's Sterling, IL to Rochelle, IL LPG04 24 local slams across the diamond as it ducks beneath a pair of classic C&NW style searchlight signal bridges with a very attractive trio of EMD GP15-1s leading the way. Part of the new PTC replacement for this signal bridge stands off to the left waiting to be fully erect and put into service once the right time comes. So, it is with this shot that say goodbye to these beautiful old signals because by the time I make it up here again, the new PTC replacements will most likely have phased these old beauts out.
