Remarks & Notes |
With a length of around 699m the wooden trestle of Barmouth on the Cambrian Line is nowadays one of the longest wooden bridges in Britain.
The bridge crosses the mouth of the river Mawddach. It was built in the year 1867.
Today it is mainly crossed by the trains of Arriva Trains Wales which uses only Class 158 trains on the line. Every now and then special charter trains visit this absolutely scenic line. |
