Lighting up in the low December sun, Amtrak’s eastbound Empire Builder crosses Two Medicine Bridge at East Glacier, Montana. Three Amtrak GE P40DCs power the train, all in different schemes. Lead locomotive No. 809 is in as-delivered paint, while trailing No. 823 is in “Phase IV” and third P40 No. 828 is repainted in a solid-stripe “Phase III.” I’ve heard the bridge at this location called “Too Many Photos Bridge,” and the moniker is probably well-deserved, but I shot it again anyway…
