This is what remains of the somewhat famed former Southern Pacific Sherwood Trestle now owned by the Portland Western Railroad, a lot of it's fame came from the SP4449 making it's way to Sherwood and back making quite a scene. Sadly on Aug 10 at around 4pm the bridge caught fire fully engulfing the bridge and the surrounding area, as of now the cause is unknown. At 1am on Aug 11 after burning for 9 hours the bridge finally collapsed leaving the bridge in a pile of burning debris. Luckily no other properties were damaged, 1 injury to a fire fighter due to a falling beam but he's is expected to be fine.
