Damn if she ain't a little cutie!
Thank goodness, I didn't have far to go chase it: 30 minutes up the road between Mount Tremper & Phoenicia! (I couldn't live with myself if I had passed up this opportunity... I already forwent chasing NKP #765 this month between Corning & Binghamton, NY.)
Viscose Company #6 [Baldwin 0-4-0T]
Baldwin c/n 57994
September 1924: built for American Viscose Company, Roanoke, VA
early 1960's: sold to Gem City Iron & Metal Company, Pulaski, VA
September 2004: Purchased by S. Symans (Dunkirk, NY)
September 2004 - June 2007: completely restored by S. Symans to operating condition.
Congrats to Catskill Mountain Railroad for running the first operating steam locomotive in the Catskills since 1949!
