Remarks & Notes |
Since some years the Schynige Platte Bahn acts as a kind of "historical" railway inside the Jungfraubahn Holding. Since then locomotives and carriages being refurbished are transformed into the look of earlier periods as far as the daily purpose (which is transporting passengers up to the Schynige Platte) allows it. He 2/2 #11 is such an example. This 1914 built loco was recently transformed back into the era of the Late 1930ies when the locos were painted black. The passenger cars shunted by the engine are another example. #6 built 1894 and #8 built 1929 look like in the early days. To see such a composition in 2015 is just great.
Here the train passes Gsteigwiler and still has plenty of height to gain to reach the Schynige Platte station. |
