One of my best diesel shots from the GGRM's final public weekend of excursions in Niles Canyon, this one taken at the beginning on Labor Day morning. Just the same as the first day, Fairbanks Morse 1487 was supposed to be the primary diesel assistant, until loading problems became apparent. Upon discovery of the problem, GP9 #3194 was fired up to take its place. Seen here, 3194 tows a shut down 1487 to the east end of the Brightside yard.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
