| EF 30042 in Tranz Rail livery approaches Mangaweka with Feilding District Steam Rail excursion train bound for National Park. The line was electrified in the 1980's and these 4000 HP locomotives supplied by Brush in UK. They remain the most powerful operated by KiwiRail but have an uncertain future as diesel replacements are considered. |
