Remarks & Notes |
NKP #765 arrives at Slateford Junction with the rock faces of the Delaware Water gap looming in the back to begin the process of turning for the return trip to Scranton, PA. Slate ford Junction was the location on the Lackawanna where the Lackawanna Cutoff broke off and headed across the river to New Jersey. The Cutoff would have gone off to the bottom left of the photo while the tracks 765 is on went on into the town of Portland, PA. |
