Following a brief downpour, a New York Central painted Alco trundles into Nulltown, Indiana with an old combine in tow. The combine is making its first trip on the mainline after being out of service for over 15 years. Looking a little worse for wear, she performed admirably on this test trip with no hot bearings and will soon be back in regular service on the Whitewater Valley Railroad after receiving a little bit of paint. This drizzly evening the shop crew is enjoying the fruits of their labor by combining business with pleasure as they travel to Laurel, Indiana for supper.
