| The hot summer sun beats down on the small town of Edelstein as a westbound baretable re-position move from Corwith Yard in Chicago hustles beneath the Santa Fe style searchlight signals that still stand here. Edelstein sits at milepost 138.4 on BNSF's Chillicothe Subdivision and marks the end of a 1.1% climb for westbounders up Edelstein Hill. A BNSF Dash9-44CW and a rather fresh "Candy Apple Red" CP AC4400CW have no trouble pulling the rest of the light weight empty intermodal well cars up the grade. |
