A retired Virginian EL-C sits in Roanoke pending sale to the New Haven Railroad. In the background, a PRR GG1 (#4919) on loan for testing on the N&W's Virginian line awaits assignment. Or - VGN #135, one of 2 survivors of 12 built by GE sits on display at the VMT along with a former PRR GG1. The other EL-C is VGN #131, reclassified by New Haven as EF-4, and later by Penn Central as an E-33. It was saved and was en route to the Illinois Railway Museum for display in a livery yet to be confirmed. GG1 #4919 is on of 16 survivors of a total of 139 units produced.
