| The last stand for searchlights at Durand has come. Effective 0800 Sunday October 11th, work will begin to cut over the new signals and take down the old searchlights that have been protecting the plant for decades. I decided to hike down to the seldom photographed west end to document them one last time. I was hoping for CN power, but I instead got power from C766 that went to Lang the day before. Either way, one last photo of the searchlights was very nice to have before the construction gangs go into destruction mode. Taken from CN property by CN employee. |
