On october 12th the test runs with the new double deck Intercity train for the SBB started between Seuzach and Stammheim. RABe 502 # 203 trainset from Bombardier is prepared with a large amount of sensors on each of the 16 bogies and fitted with six measuring axles. This train, pictured near Gütighausen, is one of the 30 sets of the "IR200" series. There will be another 23 trainsets of the "IC200" series and 9 of the shorter "IR100" (4 cars) series. In the background left, not clearly visible, the 330 meter long Thur railway bridge from 1876, over which the train ran shortly.
