| An early morning along the former Georgia Railroad mainline finds CSX train Q460 crossing the impressive 640 foot Alcovy River trestle west of Social Circle. Out of sight behind the brush is a stone bridge pier that was built prior to the Civil War and believed to be part of a bridge burned down by General Sherman during his “March to the Sea.” |
