| The D&H sure was a colorful railroad after the formation of Conrail. At the summit of Ararat grade, a GP39-2 in painted-out Reading colors, a GP38-2 in painted-out Lehigh Valley colors, and another GP39-2 in D&H lightning stripe wait for a signal in fading light. The trailing GP39-2 was likely in the 7600 series that D&H purchased directly from EMD |
