Amongst these beasts of burden who haul
Built in Schenectady and Montreal
The WNYP's Driftwood Turn passes the Emporium switch job power at the depot late on a glorious early-autumn afternoon. Honestly, despite the riff on a classic poem, I don't think one can play favorites with the railroad's Alcos and MLWs -- they're all magnificent machines, still earning their keep long after so many of their brethren were removed from service. |
