Watchmen of Park Ave
It may be easily overlooked if you're fighting New York City traffic but one of the many visual and architectural marvels of Grand Central Terminal are the sculptures of Minerva, Hercules, and Mercury. Designed by Jules-Felix Coutan and carved by the John Donnelly Company, it was considered the largest sculptural group in the world when unveiled in 1914. This is a view looking north up Park Ave using a Canon 100-400L telephoto lens handheld. |
