Not much has changed at the Suncoke KRT transloading facility over the past year. With the steep decline of the coal industry, the yard once filled with cuts of coal hoppers moving every which way now sits relatively empty, and the assorted EMD/Alco switchers now just mostly idle around at their usual spots, waiting on an inbound train from CSX or Norfolk Southern. The only difference in this scene compared to last year is the fresh paint on the water tower on the engine track to the left, standing out in the evening light of an unusually warm November evening.
