Remarks & Notes
A side by side comparison of radiator sections from GE’s latest AC locomotives show just how unique of a design the AC 6000 models used. This massive overhang was needed to accommodate the enormous amount of coolant these engines used which is 550 gallons to be exact. This one of a kind design certainly made these massive engines pretty intimidating when running long hood forward.
