Remarks & Notes |
The dwarf. The searchlight dwarf is one of the most unique pieces of railroad signaling in Northern California. There were a few dwarfs that guarded sidings along the UP Valley Subdivision between Yuba City and Red Bluff. Here, an out of place Norfolk Southern SD70ACe leads a southbound military train passed a dwarf searchlight at the north end of the Anita Siding. Unfortunately, a few days after this photo was shot, the searchlight signals were taken out of service. |
