Running light up the valley to retrieve the last cut of loads for the day, The Beech Mountain Railroad's Alco S-2 "Old 113" charges through the sleepy little community known as Palace Valley. It's not often that you see a railroad let trees grow this close to their right of way, but it does add a 'homely' touch.
