L&N 152 sits quietly in the Kentucky Railway Museum shop, after having preliminary disassembling done in preparation for her impending overhaul. KRM members have established "Crew 152" which is dedicated to restoring the venerable old Pacific to operation in the near future. Currently, the engine has been stripped of jacketing, appliances and is being further readied for a full mechanical inspection and boiler ultrasound.
