| Santa Fe 642 lead a westbound intermodal train out of Ancona, IL at milepost 98 and into the setting sun on a snowless February day in 1995. The BNSF merger was 7 months away and little thought was given to the notion that red and silver would be history so soon near the end of a pleasant winter day on the "Transcon" in Illinois. |
