BNSF Railway's annual California Division Christmas Train lays over between its morning and afternoon runs on December 12th, 2015. This train, symboled O-SBDSBD2-12A, carries children in need from San Bernardino to the summit of nearby Cajon Pass and back, a distance of 25 miles one way. This train operates twice - one round trip in the morning, and another in the afternoon. Power for the 2015 edition of this special train was a pair of new General Electric 4400-horsepower ET44C4 diesels: 3907 and 3908 (on the train's other end). BNSF 3907 was built the previous month, in November 2015 (as serial number 63321). The trackage in front of the old Santa Fe depot is being rebuilt to accommodate even more Metrolink trains.
