Remarks & Notes |
The line between Anchorage and Seward isn't used very often during the winter except for the weekly trains to Whittier and the occasional train from Seward. Since the Port of Anchorage is frozen in the winter the direct barges will often call at Seward or Whittier. In this case an SBS Barge of lumber was unloaded in Seward and sent north to Anchorage and is seen here almost to Girdwood on a beautiful late evening in March. |
