Two Union Pacific trains, an Eastbound loaded coal train and a Westbound passenger train meet at high speed on a sweltering hot day along the Triple Track Mainline just outside Maxwell, Nebraska near North Platte's Bailey Yard. This photo was taken while pacing the Westbound passenger train at about 70 miles per hour.
