The Ivy City facility in Washington DC is owned by Amtrak, but is also used by the Maryland Area Regional Commuter system, better known as MARC. Amtrak retired their last Bombardier-Alstom HHP-8, but MARC was still operating theirs when this image was captured on January 22nd, 2015. It appears that MARC HHP-8 4910 is due for a run through the washrack after it is done being serviced in the Ivy City locomotive shops. Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE.
