The sun is trying to break through the marine clouds on a cool spring morning at Boston Bar, BC back when life was normal. CN owned this side of the Fraser, and trains ran both directions. SD40s and SD40-2Ws ruled the rails. In April 1985 CN was busy, but CP Rail had more tonnage, or at least seemed to. Nonetheless, "zebra scheme" SD40s were colorful and fun to photograph, and we took for granted that cabooses would be around forever. Today the depot has been moved away from the tracks, and last visit was not in good shape. Trains do not normally move eastbound here. CP is as likely to be found westbound as CN. And straight SD40s are pretty much a thing of the past. Who would have thought?
