Four class 34 GE U26C's leaving Zeerust westbound to Mafikeng with a block load of 50 container wagons, after crossing an eastbound train of Botswana Railways salt wagons (visible above the 4th unit). Zeerust station is but a shadow of its former self, now reduced to just one crossing loop. A few buildings still survive and the footbridge still spans the tracks. The open space in the bottom left of the photo was where the small loco sub-depot was located in steam days.
